Kuukaku's Tanto 'Complete'

Let me begin by stating…I swear that this tanto knows I freaking cosplay as Ichigo! Seriously, she showed me noooo mercy; she fought me over everything and even went as far as to injure me! Yes, you read correctly, tanto-chan INJURED me. Needless to say, I am extremely happy to be finished with her. >_<


So, without further ado, may I present to yinz Kuukaku “Blast Master” Shiba’s Tanto…



Stats:
Blade Length: 12 in.
Handle Length: 6 in.
Total Length: 18 in.


Blade: 1 wooden rod, with a balsa wood tip, sandwiched between 2 pieces of thick cardboard (cardboard was applied with heavy duty spray glue). The blade was then covered with gray and chrome duck tape (“slant illusion technique” was applied to give it a two-toned look).



Tsuba: The base is made from 2 pieces of white extra thick (2mm) fun foam (held together with crazy glue); gold paint was used to finish.

Cap and Setting: Crafted from white self adhesive (2mm) fun foam, then painted gold for finishing.

Sheath: Made from strong cardboard and balsa wood. Super glue was used to hold the skeleton together. The entire thing was then covered with red duck tape.
