Wabisuke 'Complete'

Yes, True-Keyblade-Master, it does need a little more Wabisuke!


Sorry, just couldn’t resist…again. XD Getting back to the subject at hand…allow me to present the Lieutenant of 3rd Division‘s, Izuru Kira, zanpakuto, Wabisuke (shikai form). This sword is a commission for my best friend and little sister, Chibigal 4 ([link]); who will not get to take this little guy home until Christmas. Sorry, sis, but you can take comfort in knowing that he’s safe and sound with Shinso. XD





Stats:
Blade Length: 30 in. - 8 in. - 7 in.
Handle Length: 10 in.
Total Length (without head): 40 in.


Blade: 1 wooden rod, with a balsa wood head, sandwiched between 2 pieces of foam poster board (foam board was applied with heavy duty spray glue). The blade was then covered with black and white duck tape.



Tsuba: The base is made from 2 pieces of white extra thick (2mm) fun foam (held together with crazy glue), while the lip/ridge was created from self-adhesive (2mm) fun foam. As for the markings, photo paper was used. In the end entire tsuba was painted gold, along with a simple clear coat.

Cap and Setting: Crafted from white self adhesive (2mm) fun foam, then painted gold for finishing, along with clear coat.

Sheath: Made from foam poster board and balsa wood. Super glue was used to hold the skeleton together. The entire thing was then covered with green duck tape; the top was wrapped with some green cord (applied with super glue).



Music Preference *new feature*: This zanpakuto responded well to the following music/tune(s)…Bleach the Best and “Let You Down” by Eyeshine.



*Note: Wabisuke (Apologizer), wielded by Izuru Kira (Lieutenant of 3rd Division); bends into a hook; doubles the weight of whatever it hits, such as the opponent‘s blade. “Raise your head.”
